If most of us were 18-35 and able to run 2 miles in 20 minutes. Hell, if most us can actually run 2 miles and weren't carrying around 200lbs in our fat asses. Unfortunately there are more "unhealthy" people in the general population than healthy people. That plan would have been nice for the 20% of the general population that is healthy.
Just like with the Moderna vaccine trial. Everyone focused on the efficacy of the vaccine and ignored the fact that out of over 30,000 participants only 30 people had serious virus symptoms and only one person died.
They essentially belied the need for a vaccine at all with their vaccine trial. Why get vaccinated when only 30 people in your trial group of over 30 thousand, of which half received a placebo, had serious symptoms from the virus that you are vaccinating against?
The biggest takeaway for me is that people are not focusing on the most important number.

169254 cases and 24 deaths. That's a 99.986% survival. Healthy people never should have been locked down.
