People are acting like a bunch of Patriots got upset at injustices in 1776, grabbed their muskets, and the rest was history.
The reality is that England had been pushing them for a couple of decades, and the Colonials sought legal redress in many ways. It was only when the Brits tried to take away their guns that the kinetic war started. And it started with a few dozen Bostonians. The rest of the colonies wouldn't join in for quite some time.
We are not at that point yet, and there's a huge difference. We now have a Constitution that clearly states how illegal this administration is acting. It gives us more legal leverage than the Founding Fathers had. But many here want someone to give "the signal" to charge at......something.
When those who can use legal leverage to help are also not acting in ways that show respect to the constitution and to the people they serve, we have a problem. The reality is that England had been pushing them for a couple of decades, and the Colonials sought legal redress in many ways. I guarantee if there are ''sweeping'' gun control changes, there will be war and quite rightfully so. Taking away the guns of responsible owners, when the black market is still booming with gun sale business, is not a way to inspire faith in you as a legislator.
I don't necessarily disagree with your observations, but I suggest history teaches us a different conclusion on the course of action and the timing.
More than happy to elaborate on this.
Please do elaborate.

It's just not very well thought out.
