I'm about to do an off the grid retreat since I have the time and money saved up. Problem is I will probably be bunked with a fat asshole that needs a cpap to not die in bed. I'm wondering what the experience is with over the ear cans with noise canceling and what's worth the money.

Yes I have noise isolating buds but I just don't want to deal with them. My current go to is one of the Sony iterations that probably rooted in the 80s. MDR V5.
