Considering how much land they own, the fact they are investing heavily in our electrical grid, and Xiden will probably allow them to help build 5G infrastructure, I think it's already a bit too late to worry about that.

That's actually one of the worst options IMO. Secession means China will undoubtedly be allowed to build bases too close for comfort.

Peaceful secession is my favorite as well. I'd be more than happy to make my exit to one of those states than overseas.
