Is it a real virus? yes. The hoax was to hype it up so much that people will do anything to not get it. It's called controlling the masses. People can be easily controlled by fear. Climate change, cops shooting blacks, Covid, mass shootings are examples. Is there some truth in these hoaxes? Yes. Just enough to justify the control of something in your life.
