I really think this country and planet need to reassess what "healthy" means.
We live in a luxurious world with little to no danger including decease thanks to good hygiene. That's dangerous.
I'm in the 99.9th percentile for health probably and i'm not nearly as healthy as i could be. 99% of people's health in this country is a complete joke. Even the health of gym nuts over doing some shit and taking a million supplements and eating the cheapest "healthy" food comes to mind, throw in your artificial health foods...
I won't say it's easy to be healthy when literally every easy option out there isn't, by design.... but it's not an excuse.
When ever i hear someone healthy dies from randomly or from corona i have to roll my eyes i'm sorry. NONE of us are healthy generally speaking. I'm working on becoming a genuine exception but it's taking time. Fish i catch, but the waters are polluted... Go up far enough north to fish and get your deer. Grow your own crops with genuine compost only made from other things you thought out just as carefully.
300+ years ago it was the norm... Now we are surrounded by artificial chemicals. How many centuries do these things linger? How do they interact? How can we even begin to fathom the long term effects of one of these things when we have created billions of variables that interact.
Gut health, acidity levels, all the cacogenics we surround ourselves on a daily basis, fasting, the list goes on and on of things we ignore. Our immune systems are a joke compared to what they should be.
Climate being all man made i don't really believe in at all. But when it comes to simple pollution of our planet, water, food, and bodies? You betcha i think we are in for a rude awakening some day. We've already introduced so many variables it's nearly hopeless. I think were are already there, early stages.. Unless we get back to our roots. We have surpassed the needs for cities and technology is now capable to supply everyone with the ability to homestead, yet we become ever more dependent on the state and others.
Maybe i'll be like a techno-Amish or some shit but i just can't stand by and condone the insane lack of care everyone has about the shit we surround ourselves with on a daily basis.
