I believe the thought pattern is that the current military is pushing diversity in all it's glory and that people with the "gimme Dat" syndrome or self entitlement issues want it for free so taxpayers can foot the bill.

Neither of these types of individuals make good soldiers. Plus if we send them into war zone...what happens when meds can't get to them. Now you have a seriously emotionally unstable individual in group that relies on each person to be fit and focused.
