Are we not the people who think that Down Syndrome babies deserve to be able to live and be loved? The only real difference is that no one is using Down babies as battering rams trying to topple Western Civilization.
We need to be careful to focus our scorn on leftists, not the people who have been victimized once by bad medical luck and then a second time by the leftists who use them for political cover and then discard them.
Oh, and "teeny tiny fraction" is around the order of 1 in 10,000, about one one-hundredth of a percent. That is so rare that most people have never met one.

But, to use your example of Down syndrome, they have a chromosomal disorder just like people without a standard XX and XY have a chromosomal disorder. It doesn’t make them non-human, just like the other doesn’t make them not male or female. I’m not saying because it’s rare, we should ignore it or treat them as sub-human. I’m saying because it’s rare, it doesn’t mean we should pretend the duality of sex doesn’t exist. It also does nothing to prove that transgenders should be recognized. The vast majority of transgenders are mentally ill gays. They don’t have “intersex” characteristics.

Can you even make the claim that they're gay, anymore? Most of them are still seemingly interested in women. In fact, that's the first really solid pushback they got, was when lesbians said "Yeah, no, we don't want anything to do with penis" when trannies started demanding they date them.
I think the vast majority of newly claimed trannies are just ugly men who think they'll get a lesbian girlfriend. Before this whole nonsense started, trannies existed and were composed of a completely different demographic. It's just mental illness driven by narcissism and a host of other issues.
