Even in states like Texas we are still forcing kids to wear masks when there literally ZERO studies showing that they are effective at preventing the spread of this invisible boogeyman. It's ridiculous and abusive at this point. Our own academic institutions claim to be following the science but they are relying on faith and meaningless platitudes like "studies prove that masks save lives" without ever referring to a study or research.

Stupid is as stupid does.
Mask wearing mandates despite proof of their ineffectiveness amounts to compelled observance of a state religion, illegal under the Constitution.
Replacing God with scientism has taken its toll, now its followers with go forth in blind faith.
The CDC just released one a couple weeks ago. There is a 1 or 1.5 percent increase in protection from infection by wearing a mask. I shit you not.
Hm, so about the same amount as the actual chance of death from the disease. Very interesting.
I went looking for their peer reviewed articles... you'd be shocked what I found in "science" language.

Basically they admit that doing the science (process of uncovering facts through the scientific method]) is too unethical and logistically challenging so they piece together a few data points feed them into a computer model and then prescribe government mandates.
Then they recommend how to manipulate people with symbolism. It's crazy.
