It's all about intent. You can make guns for yourself and then sell them. You just cant have intent to make them for the sole purpose of selling them.

Nah, property doesn't matter. Maybe state lines, but not property. You can do whatever you want with it except sell it. IIRC you can even give it away, but I think there are limits to that as well, like you have to serialize it, etc.

You can sell self-built guns, but you need to be extremely careful doing so. If your actions can in any way be construed as you having built it with the intention of selling it or giving it away in the future, that's no good and you could end up in trouble.

There are also a few statutory requirements that you need to meet, like serializing the receiver, which you don't have to do while you still possess it (federally anyway - your state may require it at the time of construction).
