What's happening is the lefties are congregating into urban centers mostly. Then feeding welfare babies just enough to get them to voting age so they can win popular votes for entire states on the weight of less than 1% of the state's landmass.
It's literally what the Electoral College was supposed to protect against, but what we ended up with is 50 popular elections instead. It just took them more time to figure out how to pump out more hapless slaves... I mean voters wearing chains made of welfare checks.
