The President and VP have nearly always traveled separately...??

Maybe pelosi was planning to crash the plane so she could take over. I always thought they flew separately in case something happened

She is still his LVN as well as VP

Would make sense tho, what if the plane crashes and they both dies, who is next in line for presidency? Who's Kamalas VP after Biden is gone?

KamelToe would appoint a new VP

Pelosi is third in line if these 2 bobble heads both take a dirt nap.

Neither of them matter. They aren't making the decisions. They weren't even elected. The powers behind the throne would probably love for something to happen to both of them just so they could blame us.

Or has Biden been replaced already....and Pelosi already sworn in as the VP.

IF I was a conspiracy theorist....

Extremely weird. Any President and Vice President travel separately. Never know when something negative could happen. I guess their security teams must have allowed this to happen for their "covid covid relief tour."

You don't spend $1.5 billion getting them elected just to put your eggs into one basket.

Perhaps this was more of a discussion where they didn't travel? They just went in and went out?

That should not happen.

Seriously. If he hands it over to Kamala then Pelosi is VP correct?

Cali_Republican 7 points ago +7 / -0

No. One would be nominated. Only if biden and kneeling harris left office would Pelosis take office.

No. That's the old way.

Yup....

Then it's President Pelosi.

No. As another poster said, Pelosi is 3rd in line for the Presidency if both the President and the VP are removed or killed while in office at the same time.

If Biden resigns, Harris the President and another VP must be nominated.

When Spiro Agnew resigned his VP seat, Gerald Ford was nominated for the seat by Nixon/the GOP.

When Nixon resigned his seat, Ford was the President and Nelson Rockefeller was nominated as the VP by the GOP.

Neither Ford nor Rockefellar were the Speaker of the House, or even members of the House or Senate, at the time of their nomination to the VP.

The Speaker of the House is SECOND in line for Oval Office, behind the VP. The POTUS is already POTUS and is not in line for shit.

Here's the thing though: the VP automatically assumes the presidency if the President dies/resigns/is removed, etc.

The Speaker of the House and all underneath her would only be "Acting President" if both the POTUS/VP were gone. It is unclear if an Acting President can nominate a VP to be confirmed or if the office would just be left vacant.

Pelosi would not be the VP, but she would succeed Harris, if Harris died or became incapacitated.

She is always with him. She is the one making the decisions. She's also babysitting him. He's just a figurehead at this point. His signature is required because he's POTUS but she's calling the shots.

They never traveled together before. Against standard protocol.

Just for arguments sake, they can meet in the plane and it can not take off...

This seems to be a break in protocol. But then, why the fuck not, rules and laws are so, I dunno, archaic now a days.
