No. One would be nominated. Only if biden and kneeling harris left office would Pelosis take office.

No. As another poster said, Pelosi is 3rd in line for the Presidency if both the President and the VP are removed or killed while in office at the same time.

If Biden resigns, Harris the President and another VP must be nominated.

When Spiro Agnew resigned his VP seat, Gerald Ford was nominated for the seat by Nixon/the GOP.

When Nixon resigned his seat, Ford was the President and Nelson Rockefeller was nominated as the VP by the GOP.

Neither Ford nor Rockefellar were the Speaker of the House, or even members of the House or Senate, at the time of their nomination to the VP.

The Speaker of the House is SECOND in line for Oval Office, behind the VP. The POTUS is already POTUS and is not in line for shit.

Here's the thing though: the VP automatically assumes the presidency if the President dies/resigns/is removed, etc.

The Speaker of the House and all underneath her would only be "Acting President" if both the POTUS/VP were gone. It is unclear if an Acting President can nominate a VP to be confirmed or if the office would just be left vacant.

Pelosi would not be the VP, but she would succeed Harris, if Harris died or became incapacitated.
