I was reading an article about how certain neanderthal genes made one less susceptible to covid (though other genes have different effects), and it mentioned how some people have roughly 2% of their DNA mixed in, "except for people with African origin", I think they said its because the Neanderthals didnt really venture to Africa... I wont speculate why.
