I disagree with your initial premise. Mankind is not weak and pathetic. I'm thinking we are coming from two different angles though. God did not create a weak and pathetic humanity.
God created everything that has ever been created, including all extinct formats. Every seed has it's purpose, an inherent potentiality. The acorn is the oak tree. Humans are the Dodo bird. If anyone claims God is real, Jesus died on the cross and was murdered for our sins, they would also necessarily believe the Book or Revelation. That Book makes it clear. What now do you disagree with?
Interesting, it seems man created a bunch of this stuff we got going on. As a gift and power the Son of God has been given will, imagination, and the power to bring about what he desires. The misuse of power is what you are all flustered about. Man, God's greatest creation is not made to be weak and pathetic. Jesus Christ did not show the Son of God to be weak and pathetic, he overcame the world that attempted to make him weak and pathetic. We as Sons of God are to overcome the worlds attacks in the same manner as our forerunner, Jesus Christ.
Revelation is not a book about the future, it is a book that reveals how the Son of God works in each individual. There is no end times predicted in the Bible.
