If Republican legislators were smart, which they aren't, but if they were, they'd counter gun ban proposals with strict bans on pharmaceutical psychotic drugs that are the REAL cause of most mass shootings. They'd go on the offensive and attack BIG PHARM which supports demoKKKrats with millions of dollars in donations and funding. They'd attack all these pseudo-science Quack Psychologists who drug up young white men on psychotic violent inducing drugs when they aren't puberty blocking little children. They'd put demoKKKrats on the defense and make DemoKKKrats protect their BIG PHARM cronies and their psychotic quackery.

But Republicans are fucking stupid, will get shilled, will capitulate and let demoKKKrats control the entire fucking narrative and keep Republicans on the fucking defense responding to all the offensive chess moves DemoKKKRats make. You don't win chess by always playing defense. Eventually you have to capture the other fucker's King. Republicans are too stupid to do that.

If one of the shoppers was concealed carrying, fewer people might have died. That is the answer. Boulder is like a miniature San Francisco. Very restrictive gun laws. Even with a CO carry permit, you can't carry in Boulder and Denver proper. These things don't happen where people are allowed to carry.

Concealed carry is legal in Boulder and Denver. Denver has an “assault weapons” ban. Boulder does not. I shoot my AR-15 several times a year at a range in north Boulder. My parents both have Concealed carry permits issued by the Boulder County Sheriff, in Boulder. He gives permit holders a business card with the he Sheriff’s dept information and instructs people to call them in the event of a self defense shooting.

Maybe my gun was over the capacity limit then. I know there was some reason I couldn't carry. That was several years ago too. Sorry you live near Boulder.

Open carry is illegally banned in Boulder. The CO Supreme Court grandfathered Denver’s laws in place, without legislative intend.

Be more sorry! :-P. I’m in the most liberal part of Denver. I keep most of my guns at my parents just outside Boulder.

Definitely more comfortable pulling out this bad boy, although purchased pre ban.

I don’t believe this ruling affects Denver’s ban on scary guns, but I’d love to see the looks on my condo neighbors’ faces walking in with my AR.

Let's just take the narrative from them. We don't have representatives. We need to represent ourselves and call them out on this.

We've been censored by every large online social platform.

And there are still ways to get the truth out and sabotage their narrative. Imageboards and just spreading it around in a manner they'll carry the truth for us.

Those arent the real cause bro. Let's go past surface level twelfth grade reasoning.

"Most shooters are on antipsychotics or antidepressants, they must be causing the shootings!!" -You

"People with the predisposition to shoot random strangers are much more likely to wind up on antidepressants/antipsychotics."

  • A sane person.

Correlation doesn't equal causation and there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for the correlation.

Sorry. Your argument is weak.

Correlation is definitely a leading indicator of causation.

For example, if a large number of people are dying, and they all are correlated because they test positive for covid virus, then the correlation indicates what very well may be the cause, a virus.

I have a huge database of mass shootings. Nearly 90% of them in the last 20 years involve psychotropic drugs. It's not just circumstantial, or coincidence.

Why the fuck did my comment get deleted?

My argument is not weak. If you do not understand that correlation doesnt mean causation you have absolutely no experience with math or statistics. None.

All kinds of things correlate without having a causal relationship. There are 3 possibilities when you have a correlation between A and B. A could cause B. B could cause A. Or C (unconsidered variable) could cause both A and B. For example, mass shootings (A) correlate with drugs (B). The drugs could be causing the mass shootings (possibility 2), the mass shootings could be causing the drug use (scenario 1. It can be discarded because we have a chronology established), or SEVERE MENTAL INSTABILITY/PSYCHOSIS (C) could be causing both drug use (A) and mass shootings (B).

Research helps us find which is most likely. Considering that direct observation of behavior during this kind of drug use leads to reduced violence, impulsive behavior and a better ability to contemplate consequences A (your hypothesis) becames unlikely to the point of foolishness.

It's almost like people with mental instability are prescribed drugs to treat it, or something

And causation doesn't equal correlation. You're doing the same thing.

1
doug2 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, I'm not. I'm not claiming to know for certain, I'm just saying there's zero evidence to suggest causation. In fact these drugs have shown time and time again to reduce violent tendencies and impulsive behavior.

1
Forty_Five 1 point ago +1 / -0

They've also shown time and time again to cause suicidal tendencies.

They're not stupid, they're getting paid off by the same people.
