This wasn't a mistake. He is being set up to be removed from office. If they were trying to protect him he would have never been around cameras and had support getting up the steps. Or he would have been entering a hanger with AF1 behind the closed doors. They are making sure we see he is falling apart and needs to be removed because of his health.
