Aside from the good pay, the working conditions are safe although sometimes inefficient because of the safety standards that are met. I have paid sick days and benefits as well as representation if needed. I can admit that there are people within the organizations that get an easy ride. I don’t even think it can last forever

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply! I ask because I have such limited experience! Really refreshing change of pace to hear! Without doxxing/giving too much info online, what type of union did you say again? Outdoor workers for what industry? Tree climbers?

I sometimes think Unions should be temporary.

If an issue comes up, then they will form up and once the issue is resolved they should disband.

I think everyone has a right to representation. What should have been done was never start osha's msha etc and just pick a union and every shop can bargain out what works best for them.

Same issue with activism. What happens when you meet your goals? Most "activists" do it professionally due to their inability to "make it" in traditional work. When the well dries up....they turn to grifting and lying.
