It's obvious that people are going to be human and conversations are going to go off course, that is so obvious. But my contention is when human beings may have died and it "seems" those on the thread would rather focus on something other than the human lives who may have been lost. My expectations were set just a wee bit to high I guess. So yeah it bothered me.

You asked a question, and I tried to answer it with a quick witty reply, but, that seems to have gone out the window. A joke is no longer funny when you have to explain it.
