Why are passers by always insulted for not “doing anything to stop” something. Am I necessarily equipped to do that. Am I supposed to take a running leap at a big man? How is that supposed to help?

I appreciate any and all everyday citizens who decide to get physical. But it needs to be their decision. It’s not immoral for the other folks in the subway not to do something. We are SUPPOSED to have police and whatnot who are armed and trained and fit and can’t get sued to death.
