There was a reason the smartest and freest Americans (the founding fathers) debated the issue and decided to specifically DENY police power to the Federal Government. They knew a federal police force would be corrupted and abuse its power. And lo and behold, no sooner was a federal police force created than it was corrupted. Smart guys those founders. Almost like they knew what they were talking about.

Exactly right. The FBI was blackmailing politicians from its inception. Hoover should have been drawn and quartered in the public square. Instead he had a building named after him.
