This is creepy in a way I can't quite explain though. It's been over a year, most people understand COVID isn't a deadly plague that's killing their friends and family members left and right. So why the extreme measures now? None of it makes sense.
England and Europe are somehow worse. I have people in the former and they look and sound like prisoners when we speak to them. Lockdown 3 on the way. As bad as it is here, it's night and day worse there. Australia is somewhere even worse than that. And no one can still travel here. I don't know if Pres Trump was really gonna rescind the travel ban or not, but Biden hasn't yet.
Australia and New Zealand unfortunately have a lot of true believers, especially among the young. I don't think they realize how bad they have it. 😢 Not that I think the US is much better, but at least some states have some freedom again.
In commie Canada there going to play this to the very end. People here are left leaning and moderate at best. They have brain washed a large chuck of the public to believe that covid isn’t going away (3rd/4th/5th wave) bullshit. They also have absolutely shit the bed when it comes to securing vaccines, prolonging the whole ordeal.
Yeah, Canadian here, having lived in both places, Americans never trash talked Canadians. Always spoke so glowingly. But Canadians like to trash Americans like they're better.
Most Canadians don't even realize we're a monarchy with a 90+ year old woman in England owning 89% of our land. The Governor General and PM need to basically be approved by England. Freedom of speech is long gone, we got no second amendment, and you can't even smoke on a patio anymore but yeah Canada is SO much better.
It sucks, I'm in Canada because I love my family and want to help protect them, but I would still feel way safer in the USA. Maybe we'll move down there one day.
