I'm not saying I don't believe you but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people on here saying they would die before surrendering their guns haven't really thought it through. Would you be willing to look the cops in the eyes, knowing they have a family like you do, and pull the trigger? Knowing that everybody involved will lose everything? You would be smeared and used as a political tool by the left, as an example of the ultimate violent white male domestic terrorist, and all "conservatives" would instantly turn against you. Trump would condemn you. You would eventually be forgotten as another lunatic, and worst of all, they would still walk away with your guns after the smoke had cleared.
I'm sure there's some people who are willing to, but almost all of us wouldn't really go through with it.
I'm just saying that most people haven't actually thought about the totality of taking the lives of a bunch of people and the consequences for everybody involved, including your family. Your family would be without you either by death or prison, so there's no way to win (in a lone-fighter scenario).

Don't fall into this psychological trap, though. The police are barging into YOUR home where YOUR family is, and you are worried about their families?
