The #1 tool the FBI has to track people down is the cell phones that they brought with themselves to the capitol. Furthermore the NSA can simply tap into your connection on the ISP side if they really wanted to.
The domain name change happened because of infighting, and if you will notice that said moderator was more than happy to speak to the Washington Post because the old domain owner is not truly MAGA.
That doesn't make any sense. The moderator had disagreements with other senior moderators and wanted to sabotage the forums by turning it into his own blog. Him, being petty, was more than willing to talk to the far left Washington Post to accomplish that objective.
Do you know how domain names work? Someone 'owns' a domain name (you can buy a .win for like $7), and then points the domain name to an IP address. Once he got butthurt from being a fatass he simply changed the ip address A record to point to his own server. No hacking required (nor would it be necessary).
As a mod, I can tell you that if any moderator account is "compromised" (e.g. FBI informant) there is not too much information they can obtain. At most they'd be able to see deleted posts and that's it.
Are you stupid?
