The Woodlands is looking pretty smart right about now. They fought annexation, and finally agreed to pay Houston a million bucks a year in 'protection money' rather than be annexed. That's a small price to pay to keep out the inept socialists, really. Meanwhile, Clear Lake is now a shithole, and Kingwood is just being used as a cash cow to be milked, to pay for the hood rats of Houston.
Come a little further north, we've got some based local politicians up here. Our judge blocked any attempt at closing businesses. Besides the masks, life has been completely normal since end of May. Sadly they fell for the "2 weeks to flatten the curve shit at the beginning, but quickly reversed all the lower capacity orders as soon as they realized the fear porn was exactly that, just nonsensical fear porn.
