I have to agree that it's good for Hawaii to be a part of the US, but interestingly enough, when it was a sovereign nation it was quite advanced and even had power in their palace before the US did in its capital. Look up Iolani Palace, fascinating stuff!

After it's illegal overthrow however, its gone downhill, and democrat policies have left many of the local people in horrible living conditions. Enormous poverty and homeless as you can imagine. Hirono has got to go! Maybe it will change, there is a surprising amount of MAGA and Trump supporters there now... but I don't think they plan on giving up hula or surfing anytime soon!
