I'm not saying that reforming will necessarrily work either. Only that dividing the Right into two parties would be obvious political suicide. Trump doesn't have the undivided support of conservatives and the majority of republicans in power have no love for him. You're right that Trump's cred is going down fast, as is his wealth, property holdings, and influence.
I think the America First party is picking up steam. MTG, Chip Roy, and a number of other conservatives are investing time and energy there. It may not be perfect, but its an option to look into and is getting attention w/out starting over from scratch.
MTG is the absolute extreme fringe of the party though. Most basic conservatives aren't going to stray into her sort of rhetoric. I honestly just don't see a way to form a third party without completely folding to the dems who already have majority control. The fact that they only have 50 senators is really the only thing keeping them in check. If they get up to 53, 54, or higher in 2022 then they're going to be able to pass everything they want with zero fucks given.
My money's on MGT, just a normal, average person that is not for sale...I don't trust any of the old guard.
