The last time it was an issue, it was going to expire, but (republican?) congress put a renewal in the last spending bill he signed...which he had to sign(he wasn't going to shut down the government again after it didn't accomplish anything the first time)

100% agree. At this point it's only used against us. They don't even use it anymore for what it was intended.
