I have a hunch they knew all about him but just let him carry on with his plans knowing his hate for Trump and his supporters.

That, or they could have stopped him but were too busy chasing down people who were peacefully protesting by taking selfies in the capitol on the 6th.

The FBI and CIA monitor thousands and thousands of potential threats. What are they supposed to do, confront every single person who posts edgy shit or threatens to kill people? They'd have to go after hundreds of pedes from this very site. Do you have any idea how many people could potentially be considered a domestic threat?

How about looking at radicalized muslims posting anti-american hate speech online all day?

I think radical muslim is an improper framing. He was a radical who was also muslim but it's not like he was some Isis dude unless I missed something. He supported left wing American politics which is not something that "radical muslims" do. People on here talk about killing federal agents all day and stocking up on guns. The FBI would have just as much cause to focus on us.

You got my upvote for being totally correct but the scary problem here is not the surveillance or making of lists. Over the past few years it's become more obvious that many of the supposed terrorists caught by the FBI are really just psychotic paranoid idiots who have been entrapped by undercover agents. None of them posed any threat, since the plans were handed to them, as well as fake weapons. Any agency immoral enough to do that wouldn't have a problem letting a few real ones pop off.
