Which side ends up with the nukes? And the military/strategic assets? The economic ones? The diplomatic ties? Because if it isn't us, if we don't end up with a sufficient amount of defensive assets, how likely do you think it is that leftisttopia tolerates what they will no doubt consider "a nation of white supremacists" on their southern border?

If China and Marxism and the global elites spent all this time infiltrating and subverting the US government, why would they just let Texas and a few other red states go?

Secession, at absolute best just resets the 70 year infiltration clock, except that this time the scenario is a little different—we probably have more cultural resilience against such an infiltration in this scenario, but we suddenly have a massively powerful communist nation on our immediate border. Doesn't seem like a great deal to me.

Not that civil war is necessarily more attractive, since even in a best case scenario, the US comes out of it severely weakened and disorganized.

We have a lot of bad options, basically.
