The thing is, the 2A will be gone. Sure, many people won't turn in their guns, but if they are caught with them (such as defending their home/life against violent BLM) they will have their guns seized after and be thrown in jail.

Sure, we have the ability to not obey. But you can bet many people will still be picked off and made examples of simply for using a gun for self-defense or being ratted out by a neighbor or ex-wife.
My argument is not saying we should just comply. I'm saying that "hiding and burying your guns" will not solve the issue.

They are missing the point. Like you said, you'll have no more right to protect yourself with your guns, won't be able to train with your guns, and won't be able to talk about your guns. They will sit there in a closet or buried under the ground collecting dust until people grow old and die and their children or grandchildren turn them into the government.
Its 2A rights that matter, not the guns themselves. Even if 80% of Americans don't turn their guns in, we will still lose our 2A rights. That means no right to defend yourself or use your guns at all without getting your guns seized and going to jail.
Just like in Venezuela. They banned guns and now they have the "colectivos" which is essentially a pro-government gang/group like BLM that goes around doing whatever they want to suppress/bully/attack anyone who shows any dissent to socialism/the government.
