As someone who lives in Austin and randomly runs into Alex fairly often our city is basically a non-stop drinking zone sprinkled with greasy tacos and smoky BBQ. Fun place to visit but living here is a whole other matter. Despite the heavy infestation of liberals people still look at you funny if you don't have a drink in your hand at social events here. Swear to god everyone in this town is a recovering alcoholic on some level. Alex has spoken of moving out of Austin and I believe doing so would help him finally conquer his drinking demons.
