Haha yeah I’m surprised they haven’t changed the city name yet, they’re too busy changing “offensive” Indian names here in MN.

They already tried a few years ago. Happens to be the town I was born and grew up in.

Some blackes ppl from the south tried to change the name to Riverdale. Because they said Coon is racereeee. The town is named this because it used to have a bunch of Raccoons and there is a Dam on the Mississippi river there. So Coon Rapids. The city mascot is a Raccoon as well.
