When you're born and raised in a place, it's your home. I left in the 80s when crime got bad, lived in 4 different places, and came back in '97 and the city had changed dramatically for the better. We had some very good years under Giuliani, and under Bloomberg too. I also lived here during the infamous "Ford To NY: Drop Dead" years. The city came back from that.
