Massively. Crime's way up and the people are locked down heavily yet still have among the very highest of deaths per capita. These are old posters and of all their many problems they have none can be blamed on Trump supporters as bad as they wish they could Jussie Smollett them.
This makes me think of Detroit. In 1920, it was the 4th largest city in the nation. In 2019, it was the 24th largest city but number one with regard to violent crime.
Entire civilizations rise and fall. So the perspective that New York City is unbreakable seems short-sighted.
Babylon was once the largest and greatest city in the world. Now it is ruins.
I'm not talking about Detroit. Look, as a NYer, I know the rest of the country hates us. We all know that. I personally can't do anything to change the whole rest of the country's opinion. When you're born and raised in a place, it's your home. I left in the 80s when crime got bad, lived in 4 different places, and came back in '97 and the city had changed dramatically for the better. We had some very good years under Giuliani, and under Bloomberg too. I also lived here during the infamous "Ford To NY: Drop Dead" years. The city came back from that.
We need someone to wear a slap a patriots.win sticker on that.
Also, isn't NYC dying?

NYC has many lives. It will come back. Sorry to disappoint!
Too big to fail, eh?

Yea, Chicago has bounced back, huh?
In NYC, I've lived through it before. I'm not talking about Chicago, or all cities, just the one I know well.
