Here's the difference: Christians wouldn't run gay bakers out of business for fun. They'd just go elsewhere. It'd be considered a poor witness to target people like that. Conservative media wouldn't be pro or anti any race. If there were stereotypical villains, it'd be communists. Maybe there'd be a special focus on the CCP at the moment, because they happen to be the greatest communist threat, but it wouldn't be because of race.

Liberals would be able to participate in the entertainment industry, but they'd have to be incredibly subtle in any attempts to communicate their message, with their successes being something closer to universal messages everyone agrees on. Christianity and family would be widely and actively promoted as the default, with sympathy for those who choose to go against the default, but the pitfalls of their choices clearly outlined.
It's like when you basically beat the game, get bored and sort of just start goofing off, doing dumb stuff on purpose just to see what happens and whether you can stay on top without really trying.
And, because typical Freedom-loving Americans would never want to destroy civilization, by doing such evil and stupid things, the normies tend not to believe it when the Left does it. They also believe that the Left will limit themselves.
