My response to "sets women back 40 years" is "I agree with you! Its wonderful!" Working with emotional reactives taught me the importance of framing my response as an agreement rather attack. This short wires them. After a pause for my surprising agreement words to settle in (like word Xanax). I add the judo flip words. Those words don't penetrate enough to trigger an attack reaction because they're still under my initial agreement word spell. But my words did penetrate. A seed got past their mind barriers and was planted. My real words may germinate. They may bear fruit. Who knows? I'm A seed planter getting past their barriers. Not my harvest. Johnny Appleseed.
