It's in direct violation of the 2nd amendment. And even if it didn't. Do you think states like Texas, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Dakota's would comply? I'll give you a hint: They wouldn't. They'd create gun sanctuary states and invite gun manufacturers to build plants in gun friendly states so they can't be sued.
