I think this count is the registered sales of modern weapons, but there are still automatic weapons from the pre-1980s, like Uzi's were popular in private collections[Remember Miami Vice?], along with [suppressed firing] thompson machine guns that were used by moonshiners, in the 1920 prohibition.

The NICS is background checks not a registry. Yea right!

Modern guns are cartridge type weapons. Ie not muzzle loaders. I listed modern arms from 1900 to 1999. 100 years of gun sales before national background checks. Bolt action and lever action pre 1899 Semi autos appeared around 1900 Full autos around 1900. No full auto sales to civilians after 1986. How many are on the registry? Those will be confiscated first.

DO NOT REGISTER ANY GUN EVER. NO MATTER WHAT!
