At one time (1920s) there was an Amish community in Mexico. They fled there after the government tried to force school curriculum on their kids that undermined their faith. The government even took children away from their parents and forced them to live in a government run home. Sound familiar?
Mostly Pennsylvania and Ohio, but they also actually have a small community where some vacation/retire in Sarasota, Florida. There are even a few Amish style restaurants there.
Where do most Amish live?
I would not want to live in Pennsylvania
