Calibos was reportedly a son of the Goddess Thetis in the 1981 Film. He was supposed to marry Princess Andromeda and become Ruler of the rich City Joppa and all of Phoenicia, however Calibos was cruel and destruction and he committed unforgivable crime in the eyes of Zeus the great God from Olympus. Zeus give the Wells of the Moon in his core. He hunted and annihibited enemy living in the Victims of the Wells of the Moon. Including a head of flying Horses sacred to Zeus. An angry Zeus transformed Calibos into a Satyr. The former Prince was forced to be live away from Humanity, in swamps and marshes. Calibos however still wants Andromeda and abducts her. Perseus has to face Calibos in order rescue her.
