I wasn't suggesting the hate was fake. I'm sure plenty of rightwing pols hate abortion and plenty of leftwing pols want to ban guns. I'm suggesting that even if they personally hate the cops, hate abortion or want to take your guns that they know those things wouldn't really go well for anybody and shouldn't really happen. So most aren't going to actually try and get those things done.
They may hate the cops, but they know defunding them is epic levels of stupidity.
