hassled by other docs he tells them that their profession is evidence based and that there is no evidence that the vaccine is safe. Also feels Trump won and the good old USA is fucked.

It's definitely worth it to shop around until all of your care providers are aligned with your ideals. Makes for a less stressful visit and you leave feeling ok with spending your money with someone that's not going to turn around and donate it to the destruction of the country.

It also saves time. Liberal doctors and liberal medical practices have PAGES of questions they need to ask because of all the risky degenerate behavior liberals engage in. I don't need to be asked about drug use, whether I engage in anal sex, how many sexual partners I have, whether I feel like I'm in the wrong body, or all that other shit.

My new doc said Covid-19 helped us cure the common cold and seasonal flu.

Finally a good take.

Immediately implying the vaccine is "causing deaths" without evidence is foolish.

Being skeptical because you are not at risk is reasonable.

There is no reason to get a vaccination for a disease that which you are not at risk of dying by.

This is what almost all the people here say. The vaccine is probably effective, and its clearly not quickly maiming or killing large numbers of people, but you always need to weigh the risks. A 0.1% mortality risk for younger and healthy people from COVID is a small and known risk.

The risk from the vaccine is likely somewhat small as well, but frankly we do not know. What if the vaccine causes cancer and we don't know for 5 or 10 years? What if it causes birth defects? What if it messes with the immune system and makes you more susceptible to a future pathogen?

Its just silly to take an unknown risk to protect against a known small risk. If you're old and at high risk of dying from COVID, sure take the vaccine. Everyone else doesn't need it.

Very intelligent, well read take. At least 5 people in my office have gotten it and they have had no problems. I warned them about it so now I look like the schmuck.

Give it 5 years before you make that determination.

Exactly what my doc said.

On the contrary, I find that this forum is overwhelmingly, "don't get the vaccine, it'll kill you," which I never quite understood.

Those are questions to be answered at a later date. Apparently, everything gives you cancer, and causes birth defects, including Oreos.

I guess that's why they call it "emergency use", folks.

I don't think people are saying that the vaccine will kill you (although there have been quite a few, but that is suppressed), they are saying that the risk vs. reward is out of whack.

No one can tell you what the long term effects are for this experimental "vaccine" which is delivered in a method (mRNA) that has never been used before in a large scale population.

mRNA shows promise in treatment of things like cancer and cystic fibrosis. Those are appropriate experiments. Using it on everybody for the CCP virus is not worth the risk.

In your opinion.

No, it’s not opinion. This is fact.

I think a lot of people on this site love hyperbole. I think its the way most people try and counteract liberal propaganda is by going as far the other way as possible. The people I've seen post more than one sentence on the issue generally understand that its not literal poison or we'd see millions of bodies in the streets by now.

You're right about everything causing cancer or defects, but I've never had someone tell me I had to eat oreos to fly or enter an establishment.

The most insane thing about this entire pandemic is how easily people were brainwashed to believe any risk is too much. These are the same people who texted and drove, ate fast food 5 times a week, and binge drank or abused drugs of unknown origin any chance they get without any concern.

You also don’t know the long term effects on your body.

For example. I had a chemo drug called cisplatin 30 yrs ago. But now I have heart disease and clogged arteries.

They now know this drug with platinum as it’s agent causes scaring of the arteries which leads to heart disease that I have.

Don’t just blindly take something assuming it won’t start a reaction somewhere in your body that doesn’t show up for years or decades later!

There's no point to the vaccine anyway. It's like a shingles shot.

It doesn't prevent you from getting it or spreading it. It just makes the symptoms less severe if you do.

If you don't have a bunch of risk factors, you are quite literally at higher risk of harm from the vaccine than the disease. This is the kind of thing (just like the shingles vaccine) that only frail old fogies should even be considering.

Sad to hear. Everybody knows. We're all guessing what is about to fall upon us. Some because good days are coming to an end. Some because bad days might finally come to purpose. I think it's going to amaze people how high up the ladder people will be changed.

I missed my based doctor. Once they started over regulating how and what he could prescribe to his patients for pain, anxiety, and a whole slew of other things, he quit saying "I'll retire before I let these untrained politicians tell me how to treat my patients. If I can't treat people how I see fit, I can't, with a good concious, continue to practice"

mRNA gene therapy is just to curb hospitalizations. There are other therapies available if you do get covid. HCQ, Regeneron ...
