Putin's not great. I wish the Russian people well, but the corruption there is staggering. We shouldn't be sanctioning them over Russian majority Crimea, but I don't see us being real friends with them either.
If we can be friends with NK we can be at least as much with Russia.
I was around during the Cold War - it's amazing how so many people want to raise up the corpse of that time now despite there being so many geopolitical reasons for a multi-level US-Russia cooperation.
Both houses need cleaning - corruption is rampant, the US is likely far worse off in that regard.
