If there's one thing I noticed about Putin during Obama's years, it's that he often ended up being the adult in the room on the world stage whenever Obama let something stupid happen for SJWish reasons.

He "checks" some of the nastier opponents. And whether or not people like it, that does, in some ways, protect us. That's how a worldwide balance of power works.

Russia isn't problem free by any means, and Putin isn't perfect. But I'd rather deal with him than some of our own politicians.
