I don't know how much is plain stupidity and how much is intellectual dishonesty employed without shame. It's definitely both, but the percentages may vary from drone to drone.

It's really just the minimum wage argument on the consumption side of the economy.

If we increase the price, oil companies will make more money!

The quickest way to shut up a liberal arguing for a higher minimum wage:

If a higher minimum wage will lift the poor out of poverty, why don't we just make the minimum wage $1,000,000 / year?

Everyone would be a millionaire!
