Do latinx people actually want to be called latinx? Or is it really just English speaking white idiots who don’t understand Romance language?
Like is there a movement in Mexico or South America where folks are up in arms that mixed gender groups of people are referred to with the masculine form of a word? Is that what they are concerned with down there, rather than the cartels, the rape, and the starving?
The very solution itself, the “x”, reeks of white idiots trying to solve a brown nonissue. Id think the native speakers would probably prefer to use another vowel, phonetically speaking. Latinu (“lah tee new”) for example flows much more nicely than latinx (“lah tee necks”). Even using both vowels would sound better latinoa (“lah tee noah”).
Just thinking of ESL people, they struggle with the true “x” sound and say it more like “eggs” than “ecks”. X is a sound many other languages simply do not use. Vietnamese have a hard time with it “next” is pronounced “nekt” most of the time. Pretty sure latinx is white nonsense.

Most of latin america gives NO FUCKS about "latinx". Some even view it as anglos "colonizing" the spanish language.
