Yeah. I remember reading these stats some time ago. Isn't the definition of "mass shooting" when 2 or more people are shot and killed? And there is a wacky conflation if "mass shooting" and "school shooting". I think the definition of "mass shooting" includes the massive amounts of gun violence committed by blacks against blacks and whites which means that the majority of mass shootings are not done by white men.

If we're talking about the US generally compared to the rest of the world, every single instance of any vaguely gun shaped weapon (including airsoft) shooting two or more people (including one then suicide) is a "mass shooting." Suddenly, we have hundreds of mass shootings a year.
If we're talking about racial statistics, suddenly "mass shootings" do not include one very specific type of crime--gang violence. Thus, we suddenly have had less than 200 mass shootings since the 80's. Just don't count the over 500 shootings in Chicago this year alone and suddenly it's a bunch of white people.
They do a similar trick with school shootings, where they count every single thing (including suicides in abandon school parking lots at night, ffs) in the overall numbers to show a "problem," then conspicuously leave out the 80% of shootings in schools with the simple disclaimer of "not including drug related activity" and shockingly you end up with a small handful of crazies that are mostly from the ethnic majority.
Because yeah--when you exclude any other factors and just ask how many actually psychologically imbalanced people there are, turns out the majority is, you know, the majority of crazies. Who could have guessed?
