When we were maybe 15 three of us were shooting down at the bayou, one Buddy had this little .25 pistola with no trigger guard. He popped a couple rounds at a turtle and then stuck the thing in his back pocket. It discharged, blew a second furrow down his right cheek, clean in and out but he was jumping around and hollering pretty good.
Then he got mad at us for laughing at him, we told him he was gonna bleed to death because we couldn't touch his ass. It didn't bleed much, we took him to the emergency room and they sewed him up.
None of us lost enthusiasm for our firearms, we simply learned not to do stupid stuff. Grandpa shouldn't have had it loaded in this hypothetical story.
