For #2, they would need to change the constitution/bill of rights and to do that, 3/4 of the states would have to ratify the change. https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/constitution

Probably not the answer the teacher was looking for

My answers:

  1. No, the left will continue to vilify the citizenry for wanting to protect themselves.

  2. Civil War, also even the left shouldn't want to remove the fillibuster, they were the ones who used it the most when Trump was president.

  3. Yes, in fact, there will be many.

A. I mean, this is a linguistic game. A person with a gun uses the gun to kill other people. So the person killed another person, with a gun. A person can also kill another person with a knife or acid or a bomb. If someone wants to kill someone bad enough they will. B. I mean, how do you stop someone who is just trying to kill everyone that gets close to them with a gun? The FBI or the police at some point just shoot them dead, if they can't constrain them. And so if it isn't a police agent or FBI, it must be a private citizen, and why shouldn't a private citizen be able to stop someone who is trying to kill them?

  1. No. Even my sister, who is a diehard liberal likes guns. She wants one to protect herself from rape. Our generation, if they limit the private citizenry from owning guns will watch their freedoms be eroded even quicker. Guns keep government honest, because they know that if they push too hard either way, they will get the bullet.

It all depends on the age of the kid. If this is grade school then it’s indoctrination. If it’s Jr. High or High School I can see how these would be interesting questions to grapple with.

On my first read-through I did get kind of an anti-2A vibe, but I didn’t get that on the second read-through. The questions are actually pretty neutral even though they obviously came from somebody who doesn’t support the 2A.

The second question is more of a process question, like function of government and how it all works together.
